The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Reporting to the Project Facilities Manager, the Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical support to the Facilities Project Manager and leading the project co-ordination team. The project coordination team is responsible for overall integration and technical interface management for the facilities scope consisting of the Greenfield, Brownfield and Subsea elements of the project through detail design, construction/fabrication and finally hand over to Operations.

The Facilities Engineering Manager is accountable for ensuring the creation and delivery of value through leading and managing the Facilities coordination team and ensuring technical compliance with Company Policies, Standards and Procedures. The Facilities Engineering Manager will, in consultation with the Project Managers, formally appoint project specific Company Competent Persons for each discipline within the project who will be responsible for approving Deviations, Technical Changes, Engineering and Site Queries. The Facilities Engineering Manager will liaise with the Company Technical Authorities to verify and/or obtain formal approvals for concession requests against Company Standards and Procedures.

Work in accordance with the company’s project department management system.
Remain abreast of legislative requirements.
Develop and enhance engineering processes and systems for project use.
Ensure engineering work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
Ensure delivery of all aspects of multi-discipline design, specification and procurement of the project.
Implement and record feedback of lessons learned to the organisation for future projects.
Ensure the Company Project Development System processes are rigorously applied throughout the work.
Demonstrate highly visible and effective HSE leadership through personal actions and behaviours and ensure “Golden Rules” and safety action plans are rolled out and applied on all activities within this area of responsibility.
Lead the Facilities Coordination team and assure effective management of interfaces through communication, planning and by fostering good working relationships.
Identify major threats to project delivery and ensure mitigating actions are in place.
Monitor and report engineering progress/status to line and function reporting lines.
Liaise with all disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
Liaise with QA and review comments from the Certifying and Verification Authority on design issues.
In conjunction with facilities cost engineer, contribute to cost reviews, spend forecasting and estimating.
Assist Facilities Project Manager in maintaining good dialogue with external stakeholders and internal management.
Be willing to travel offshore and to various sites as appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to integrate technical scopes of work covering Greenfield, Brownfield and Subsea is essential.
Be familiar with managing project management processes such as MoC, Interface, action tracking and risk management.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
