The Role:

•Manage the Facilities Engineering Team using comprehensive work plans and clear performance measures to ensure delivery of high quality engineering solutions that meet the requirements and schedule of the Australian Production Unit.

•Daily support for the offshore and onshore production facilities, specifically in the mechanical and process engineering disciplines. Prioritization and management of team activities to effectively balance short term and long term requirements.

•Management of System Custodian model to provide surveillance and assurance of compliance with the Safety Case particularly the documented Performance Standards for safety critical equipment. Provide technical support to HSE regulator queries and inspections for each facility.

•Supervision of engineering team to ensure adherence to core engineering processes including Root Cause Analysis and Management of Change in the provision of engineering support.

•Responsible for the technical interface with the Operations and HSE teams to ensure alignment of priorities and risks and provide technical input into the risk management process.

•Development and mentoring of team members to ensure appropriate technical capability, personal competencies and expertise to deliver strong operational support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams within the hydrocarbon industry. You will have knowledge of offshore operations including process, marine and mechanical systems and practical experience working with an offshore safety case regime. Familiarity with design procedures, engineering standards and integrity systems is required as well as demonstrated experience in preparation of contracts and contractor management.
In addition to your engineering and management expertise, you'll have strong communication and influencing skills, be action oriented and enjoy collaboration and relationship building.
