The Company:
Our client is a large oil and gas operating company and is seeking a Facilities Engineering Supervisor to be based in Kenedy, Texas (Eagle Ford)

The Role:

This position will supervise a staff of approximately 8 - 12 employees and contractors in Kenedy Texas. Staff will include Facility Engineers and support Technicians. The successful candidate will interface with Company employees, contractor employees and vendors to optimize facility design, maximize production rates, and focus on optimization to meet reliability goals. Effective teamwork is required by the Engineering Staff as information is gathered and communicated among various departments and other team members to insure all stakeholders are aligned and solutions are communicated.
Work includes performing engineering studies, evaluations, budget preparation, project engineering/management, troubleshooting, and support to production operations. The Eagle Ford program is ongoing and fast paced. Facility Engineering work needs to be completed and commissioned to meet the drilling development program along with maintaining existing production. A demonstrated commitment to HES standards and policies is a must.
A self-motivated individual with well developed planning, technical and teamwork skills is essential. Field experience and skills in project planning, permitting, crude oil and gas operations, gas separation and compression, production vessel design and construction, pipeline design and construction, safety and environment and problem solving is preferred.

Position will be based in Kenedy, Tx but travel to other field locations/San Antonio may be required.


•Supervise and direct contractors and company surface facility engineering and technician personnel on activities related to the assigned project(s).
•Guide and mentor engineering staff and personnel.
•Keep management informed of project progress.
•Responsible for tracking and managing project deliverables and scope changes.
•Ensure all jobs are performed in accordance with Company’s engineering specifications including use of P&IDs, assistance in preparation of as-built diagrams following project completion, etc.
•Work with operations management to verify understanding of project needs and goals.
•Ensure all projects follow Company’s management of change policy and project sanctioning process.
•Participate in project hazard analysis on assigned construction projects and ensure daily compliance with safety rules and policies/procedures.
•Initiate action that will enhance the operation's safety and environmental record. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and plans along with federal, state and local regulations.
•Project management of engineering activities, including inter-disciplinary coordination, contractor management, HES and operational interfaces. Able to provide clear project definition, communication, and objectives.
•Plan and coordinate construction schedules and scope with project controls to meet milestones and budgetary limits
•Promote a positive and constructive workplace. Interact with other team members in a manner that will help build respect and achieve goals. Communicate progress, problems, needs, and successes to staff and management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Chemical Preferred
•10+ years oil and gas industry including field experience and previous onshore facility/pipeline design experience is desired
•Excel and Word are required. MS Project or Primavera and HYSIS, would be a plus
•Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at one time is required.
•Must possess excellent communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills.
•Must have the ability to recognize environmental and safety hazards in the field and communicate these to the proper personnel while instilling the proper HES focus in workforce.
