The Role:
In accordance with the company’s Business Processes, the scope is to operate and maintain the Aberdeen office as a safe, clean and healthy environment, focusing on standard daily facilities functions related to service, maintenance and recognizing employees as customers and that their satisfaction is paramount.

As part of the GBS EUR Aberdeen team, the Facilities Professional reports to the GBS Facility Management Leader.
In addition the Facilities Professional is a member of several company networks (Facility Management, Service Management, etc.) to contribute to the successful operations of the office throughout the group.

This position based in Aberdeen leads the daily operations in a local setting, which includes:

•You manage our deliveries through a cooperation partner and ensure their deliveries are delivered as agreed.
Build strong relationships and partner with customers at all levels to enhance the end user experience, with particular emphasis on maintaining frameworks for effective delivery, management and reporting
•Effectively communicate departmental mission and strategies to executive management.
•Work cross functionally with other internal support organizations within GBS to ensure cohesive delivery of services.
•Liaise and negotiate through our procurement team with external agents, contractors, suppliers and consultants in order to obtain good advice, service and supplies relating to all aspects of the Facilities Management department.
•Actively support the FM Leader in relation to the new office building project
•Provide input for real estate decisions, including office build-outs, expansions or downsizing.
•Oversee property management services including: maintenance of building and mechanical systems. Ensure the correct maintenance of the facilities and office are in line with local regulation and recognized good practice. Achieve this by the contracting and management of applicable specialist trades or direct liaison with landlords and managing agents.
•Manage operating budgets and contribute to the accurate forecasting of costs
•Manage prioritized activities to monitor and report expenditure against forecast in order to achieve results within target and demonstrate financial control
•Constantly evaluate day to day operations and services for ways to implement improved solutions and technical improvements.
•Manage the local contents for the service catalogue and services
•Manage the use of Service Management with customer follow up and feedback
•Ensure compliance with our clients process and policies (procurement process, The Statoil Book, Management System, Governing Documents, HSE)
•Ensure the site meets all local regulations with regard to Health, Safety Environmental and Emergency procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Facility management experience
•Significant knowledge of property management, safety & security, leases , contract management and construction terms and practices
•Understanding and knowledge of industry trends and direction

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Ability to lead, motivate and develop contractors in a customer service environment;
•Ability to think "out of the box" and bring creative, non-standard, and innovative solutions to the table
•Meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress
•Highly organized and able to plan ahead
•Ability to manage small to large projects
•Dealing with multiple customers with multiple functions and reporting lines
•You take initiative and act pro-actively
•Excellent communication skills
