The Company:
Our client is an independent oil and gas operator.

The Role:
Our client is the second largest on the Norwegian continental shelf in terms of number operator, exploration and drilling operations.

They have been active in exploration in recent years.

Our client seeks an experienced Facilities Planner & Controller for this North Sea project.

Start date: As soon as possible. End date: Oct 2016.
Reports to: Project Control Manager and Planning Lead
Work place: Woking, UK.

Job description

Key responsibilities
•Establish schedules and coordinate planning activities in the Facilities team
•Establish adequate project KPI’s and identify relevant actions
•Follow up that actions is taken and report to Facility management team any critical issues not solved

Main tasks
•Establish interface schedules for the Facilities team
•Prepare and maintain Company internal schedules and progress curves
•Coordinate Facilities Baseline updates for planning
•Contribute in establishing and maintaining project procedures
•Contribute in establishing schedule risk analysis for Facilities
•Contribute in establishing and developing the planning tools for the project
•Participate together with Sub-project planners to prepare schedule analyses/scenarios
•Facilitate decision-making with contributing in preparation of customized schedules as needed.
•Participate in other sub-project teams when required
•Review of Contractors' scheduling, when requested
•Review of Contractors' monthly progress summaries and schedule forecasts
•Review Contractor Change Proposals for area of responsibility and analyze impacts on schedule.
•Participate with the preparation of schedule sections for project close out report.
•Other tasks as may be assigned by Project Control Manager or Project Lead Planner

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
•B.Sc./M.Sc. Level relevant education. Extensive experience may replace formal education.

Experience:
•Over 10 years relevant planning experience from Oil & Gas development project
•Previous experience from fabrication site
•Primavera planning tool experience
•Working knowledge of “Risk Analysis” programs commonly used for analyzing project schedules
•Good working knowledge of “Microsoft Windows Programs”
•Regulatory Competence for the Petroleum Industry

Personal qualities
•A good working knowledge of written and spoken English
•Cultural understanding
•Sound technical and commercial understanding of project execution
•Good cooperation, communication and inter-personal skills

•Open to Travelling
