The Role:
Job location : Paris with regular missions to RoK (Rep. of Kazakhstan).

To perform all project engineering activities required to secure progress and deliverables of the contracted engineering activities according to the terms set in the engineering contract, wrt technical requirements, budget and schedule, regarding :
o Offshore substructure design
o Production facilities layouts
o material selection, corrosion monitoring and protection
o Machinery both static and rotating equipment, including different type of drives
o HVAC and architectural
o Onshore facilities and pipeline design

To provide thorough technical support to the engineering contractor, through pro-active supervision of ongoing work, and handling of technical queries;
To actively manage and follow the circulation of engineering documents for internal review by Client and for update by contractor, securing compliance with agreed time schedule for document update, validation and delivery;
To ensure the quality and the delivery of all engineering deliverables by the contractor as defined in the contract;
To ensure execution of (project) engineering activities in compliance with the Client CMS and RoK requirements;
To liaise with entities within the project team such as Engineering team members, HSE Engineering and Permitting and Regulatory Compliance;
To support the preparation of presentations and close-out reporting of the engineering contract supervised;
To support interfacing and exchange of engineering documents and information between various engineering contracts such as facilities engineering contract, TEO contract, pre-EIA contract ;
Provides technical support during meetings.

Staff Responsibilities: Direct Reports- none; Indirect Reports- Engineering Contractor’s discipline specialists.
Safety : Promote safe working practices in company operational and non operational premises and will act at all times in accordance with the company HSE and business ethics policies.
Compliance with: Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Laws/Regulations /and/ The Client Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and Safety Management Systems.
Main Interfaces: Client / Agents.
Interacts with : All the Planning Directorate / Agents by participation to meetings and Workshops / Partners & External entities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree BSc level or equivalent in relevant technical/engineering discipline.
Demonstrable experience (min. 5 years) and proven track record in oil & gas facilities engineering and project development.
Experience and familiarity with RoK and/ or other Caspian projects.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Good technical, interpersonal and team-working skills.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex technical / commercial problems and to work on multiple task simultaneously.
Full understanding of importance in planning and executing projects in the Oil & Gas business.
Proactive approach to decisional process.
Understanding the role of structured project management processes.
Full understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects.
Proactive approach to HSE issues and process of safety/hazard management;
Working knowledge of all relevant discipline codes and standards.
