The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
KEY ROLES:

• Achieve project goals in respect to safe & environmentally compliant execution, quality build, within budget, on schedule and with excellent community relations. Provide a positive living environment in the construction camp.
• Lead an integrated construction management team in the range of 70 staff to ensure that the two Contractors teams of ~1000 staff & craft successfully complete construction of the 16 kilometre access road and the client Compressor Station 2.
• Compile reports and attend progress meetings with construction contractors and report to the client Facilities Delivery Manager and The project Onshore Pipelines PGM as required.
• Actively promote the risk management process.
• Provide technical knowledge, leadership and guidance in arctic environment construction



• Demonstrate strong HSE Leadership through
o Putting HSE at the top of the agenda in all meetings
o Making regular visits to the sites
o Engaging the workforce in safety conversations
o Setting achievable HSE objectives for all direct reports and holding them accountable
o Actively participating in the site behavioural safety programme

• Encourage development of Georgian National personnel, by providing advice, coaching and training.
• Develops overall construction philosophy, strategy, objectives and construction execution plan and ensures the construction team implements successfully.
• Develops and executes constructability program.
• Is responsible for overall construction execution.
• Manage installation, operation, food services, recreational programs, etc. for a 1000 man camp.
• Is responsible for the implementation of and adherence to the project safety, health and environmental plan at site. Develops, promotes, controls and reports on the construction safety programs and incentive schemes.
• Administers the overall coordination and functions of the various departments under his jurisdiction.
• Representsthe client at the jobsite in all matters pertaining to local laws, labor relations, public and community relations. Responsible for maintaining company prestige within the community.
• Establishes and maintains contractor relationships.
• Implements and monitors performance measurement.
• Is responsible for the implementation of an adherence to the project quality plan at site.
• Administers field policies on all matters within the scope of field operations and in accordance with general company policies and field manuals and ensures maximum economy in all phases of the work.
• Assists in the selection of key field supervisory personnel and recruitment of local personnel.
• Maintains close contact with the client Delivery Manager during the construction phase in order to ensure adequate flow of information and materials to the field as well as to iron out any problems arising in the field in connection with: Engineering, planning, progress and costs.
• Continually reviews: Terms of contract, with the client Facilities Delivery Manager in order to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Is ultimately responsible for the success of the construction project from the standpoint of cost, schedule, local community relations and conformity to drawings and specifications.
• Assures the maintenance of harmonious relations between all parties at the job.
• Provides leadership to the construction team and creates the project environment to deliver the desired results through teamwork, support and recognition.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE

• Work Experience:
o Minimum 20 years industry experience.
o Minimum 5 years construction management experience.
o Minimum 5 years arctic environment experience.
o Minimum 5 years remote camp site experience
o International construction execution.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Competent with most aspects of project management systems & processes.
• Heavy Earthwork / Road & Plant Construction
• Arctic Construction
• Mega-project Construction

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
BASIC SKILLS
• Competent in communicating in English language.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good inter-personal and leadership skills.
• Ability to produce written reports and prepare / deliver presentations to senior management.
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
