The Company:
Our client is a technology leader and the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines.

The Role:
1. Designs concrete structures such as pits, walls, paving, building foundations, including storm, sanitary and industrial waste sewer systems, parking lots, roadways, etc.
2. Designs engine, transmission and other test facilities, material handling systems, paint systems, filtration systems, waste disposal and pollution control systems,
utilities and ventilating systems, etc. that are mechanical in nature.
3. Designs electrical power components, lighting systems, heat-treating systems, machine tool electrical systems, and other electrical systems.
4. Writes specifications and methods of installation, recommends changes, coordinates installation schedule and follows to insure project completion.
5. Troubleshoots throughout the plant to determine cause of failure, lack of efficiency and the need for repair or improvement of systems or equipment.
6. Resolves problems in design and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence of problem.
7. Troubleshooting duties may be specific in nature based on area of expertise but could include other disciplines.
8.Conducts necessary training for plant personnel, reviews new products for proper handling procedures and prepares appropriate writings to comply with regulations and prevent non-compliance charges.
9. Determines legal requirements for hazardous wastes, air emissions, etc. and ensures that the plant is in compliance with state, federal and local laws and regulations.
10. Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, hazardous materials, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
1. Requires Engineering or Engineering Technology Bachelor Degree
2. Knowledge of computerized systems is necessary to properly diagnose problem and make appropriate solution recommendations.
3. Thorough knowledge of shop operations and procedures, previous experience in specific disciplines
4. Computer literacy and good communication skills
