The Role:
Job Description:

• Manages all Company QA/QC activities at Lam Chabang for onshore fabrication and offshore installation for Greenfield projects; emphasizing continuous improvement and eliminating QC incidents.
• Supervises the day-to-day activities of Company inspectors working with another partner at Lam Chabang fabricating offshore well head platforms for Greenfield projects. Allocates the various inspection resources and skills to ensure compliance with Compnay specification requirements. Identify any nonconformance issues, Manager QA/QC, Project Manager and Asset to find the best business resolution of problems.
• Ensure compliance with Company corporate requirements. Reviews and audits materials documentation and performance as appropriate.
• Liaise directly with Project Managers on project specific QC issues and ensure resolution. Provide input to QA coordinator and QA/QC Manager to ensure QC problems do not repeat.
• Participates in vendor audits as appropriate to ensure compliance with Company QC requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Education – 2 or 4 year degree in Engineering technology or Engineering desirable. However, depending on the candidate, five or more years experience successfully managing inspection of large integrated construction projects would be sufficient
• Experience Ideally has supervised major offshore construction/fabrication QC function successfully in Energy industry for 5 years; PMI (Positive Material Identification) program knowledge and experience desirable
• Certification – Typical oil and construction industry certifications (i.e. API) would be a plus.
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Office required
• Language Skills – Candidate should be able to communicate comfortably in spoken or written English.
• Communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with line inspectors as well as with management are very important.
