Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities
As directed by the Company Project Environmental & Regulatory Permitting Supervisor:
• Prepare Federal permit applications for Company Project and Company Export Pipeline. Interface with Federal agencies before and after permit application submittal. Follow-up with Federal agencies to obtain permit approval to meet Project execution schedule.
• Serve as primary point of contact for Federal agencies. Lead weekly interface meetings with Federal agencies at DNR office.
• Interface with Project in-field compliance staff and in-field/office construction staff during construction activities to determine additional ad hoc permits needed due to construction execution changes. Obtain the needed permit approvals timely. This is a very fast-paced, dynamic and ongoing situation during construction.
• Stand-in as E&R Permitting Supervisor when required.
• Steward the overall project permit approval process for timely delivery of the project permits.
• Provide input to the project team during the permit planning process and develop permit strategies/plans.
• Provide technical expertise on environmental and regulatory issues to engineering and operations personnel advising on permit requirements and environmental legislation/regulation.
• Interface with project E&R Compliance team and others to ensure environmental permit requirements/standards are properly integrated into project and aligned with permitting strategy.
• Interpret environmental permits and regulations affecting the project and provide execution guidance as needed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Must possess a University degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or other technical field related to E&R management.
•Must have 5-15+ years experience in Federal environmental permitting and regulatory compliance associated with North Slope oil and gas activities.
•Should have knowledge of Federal and North Slope Borough permitting and regulatory requirements.
•Good interpersonal skills, some supervisory/organizational talents, and proven ability to work as a positive team manner.
•Ability to work under pressure
