The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Field Camps Manager based in Kenya working on a 28/28 rotation on a 12month contract.

To provide administrative, organisational and operational supervision to appointed service providers and Contractors

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilities ‘man in charge’ of labour camps with reference to cleanliness, safety and security.
• Verifies and checks compliances of the camps on a day to day basis.
• Room (bed) allotment as per the Company Policies and Procedures.
• Monitoring and supervision of all catering requirements, stores and provisions.
• To conduct hygiene audits in the camp and kitchens including use by date and storage methodologies to ensure camp health and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Coordination with administrative divisions at head office for distribution of Company letters, briefs and documents.
• Ensures timely ordering and maintenance of inventory of all camp supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for the maintenance and operation of the camp facilities.
• Keep good general appearance of the grounds and buildings.
• Provide an effective training program for all staff. Emphasize positive attitudes and a “camp is for the camper” philosophy.
• Supervise and coordinate accommodation and life support for new arrivals to camps, keeping record of POB (People on Base).
• Monitor and coordinate vector control procedures, with an emphasis on Company Malaria Policies and Procedures.
• Cost control.
• Planning and implementation of Company Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensurance of camp discipline.
• Responsible for water provision, electrical supply, disposal of waste water (waste water treatment facilities).
• To set work priorities and respond to changing external priorities that impact on daily planned activities.
• To coordinate emergency response activities and situations, to coach & train team members within the context of fire and emergency response team.
• To ensure compliance of all Company EHS policies and procedures.
• To prepare reports for Managers as required including daily accommodation and catering status report.
• Regularly report and keep the Company Representative informed on the condition of all facilities, equipment and grounds.
Other duties and responsibilities as directed by Company Representative

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Hospitality, Catering, Technical or equivalent Administration qualifications advantageous, MS Project compatibility

Above average MS Office skills, Strong organisational skill sets, Excellent interactive communication skills, Physically fit, high levels of stamina and proactive in operational activities, Ability to prioritise and use initiative to good effect.

Excellent verbal, written and listening skills, Able to work effectively as part of a team, Ability to work on own initiative, Takes a proactive approach, Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion, React quickly & flexible to changing circumstances, Use initiative to ensure issues are overcome, Seek ways to find and apply best practice, Adopt a pragmatic, fit for purpose approach, Open, honest & reliable.
