The Role:
Responsible for the safe execution of all construction work, including all activities related to the CO2 removal facilities. Pipelines, Wellheads, Brownfield Modification.
•The position is a back-to-back role with the current Field Construction Manager and is re-established in view of significant growth in the construction activity level, and a recognized need to strengthen the construction team’s performance in systematic management of HSE, contractor performance, site supervision, and construction quality, flawless and pre-commissioning.
•The role will require a high level of personal leadership skills as results will be achieved through influence over time, rather than by command and control.
•Manage and coach team of discipline construction supervisors (mechanical, civil, electrical, instrument, QA/QC and HSE)
•Manage interfaces between pipeline, civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines
•Review technical documentation for completeness and quality, compliance, scheduling, resource availability, quality and HSE requirements
•Ensure that field changes are duly approved by Cairo-based engineers
•Approve hand-over certificates and documentation
•Build and maintain professional relationship with on-site construction contractor
•Ensure daily recording, monitoring and communication of construction activities in a systematic, effective and efficient manner
•Ensure contractor invoicing is factual and in accordance with contract.
•Participate in audit exercises to assess construction work compliance with quality, HSE and other contractual requirements
•Execute various ad-hoc/troubleshooting activities
•Participate in and/or lead incident investigations; role commensurate with incident severity

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering degree, engineering higher certificate or equivalent
•Minimum of 10 years field construction (preferably onshore) / project management experience
•Passionate safety leader and coach
•Demonstrated leadership qualities and influencing skills
•Construction management skills, motivated, energetic with “can do” attitude
•Proven ability to operate in a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment
