The Company:
An Oil and Gas operator

The Role:
We are looking for a Field Coordinator for a position based in Gabon.

Under Operations Manager’s direction, the Field Coordinator is accountable for the implementation of the approved short term plan and the execution of Production & Maintenance field activities, while complying with the HSSE requirements, and other company policies. The incumbent is also accountable for the coordination of all activities carried out in the fields by other disciplines.

The service holder key accountabilities are below:
1) HSSE
- Promote company HSSE policy in fields
- Implement Emergency Response Plan and conduct regular emergency response drills.
- Enforce the Permit to Work (PTW) in the fields
- Front line community liaison in the fields.
- Conduct field audits and ensure closure of approved remedial actions

2) Production & Maintenance
- Ensure operability of Operations Management Systems
- Implement the Operating Procedures and ensure compliance
- Lead the 90 Days Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) forum
- Achieve Production & Maintenance targets.
- Optimise the usage of chemical to ensure the flow assurance
- Optimise the wax management
- Execute preventive maintenance, tests and inspections of facilities to achieve higher and cost effective plant uptime.
- Maintain operations within the operating envelop of facilities and wells.
- Oversee the inventory management, and consumable stock movement.
- Elaborate accurate, reliable and timely reporting of Production & Maintenance KPI
- Take the ownership of wells and facilities after the achievement of approved handover criteria

3) Cost
- Track Production and Maintenance Opex trends
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation

4) HR
- Coach, develop through training and OJT program
- Set SMART objectives for field staff, and conduct regular reviews
- Manage and monitor POB trends in line with activities levels in the fields
- Monitor and ensure well being in the fields camps

5) Continuous improvement
- Execute the Continuous Improvement approved program in the fields
- Train staff in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques

6) Coordination of field activities
- Coordinate the execution of all activities carried out in the fields
- Coordinate multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in the fields and promote team work
- Manage JV relations in line with the Corporate Governance

This is a resident rotational position with 4 weeks ON x 4 weeks OFF

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Engineer degree or Master degree in industrial engineering, or equivalent
- Good command (spoken and written) of English and French

- At least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream industry, mainly in Field Operations (Production & Maintenance)
- Asset Management in Oil & Gas industry
- Management of large multidisciplinary teams and multi cultural work force
- Strong drive in HSSE commitments
- Experience in Operations Readiness & Assurance delivery
