The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Job Function:
• Office based Point of Contact for field environmental matters associated with the Company project.
• Provide guidance and coordination on environmental and regulatory compliance matters across all organizations and locations (Central Pad, Deadhorse pad, West Dock, ice road, well inspection/remediation, etc.)
• Assure field support to the drilling and projects teams with tools and resources necessary for success
• Maintain and promote SSHE management systems in the field

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for air, spill prevention and reporting, water, waste, wildlife and land use issues
• Work closely with rotational Field Environmental Advisors on field compliance issues
• Assist with preparation & delivery of environmental communications, procedures and checklists
• Spot checks records to verify compliance with environmental permits and regulations
• Support Compliance Supervisor and Office Environmental Compliance Advisor on environmental incident notification, reporting and management
• Assist with reporting wof internal and external environmental and regulatory metrics including environmental and regulatory incident reports
• Assist with coordination and development of Regulatory Compliance Audits
• Utilize RegFrame and other tools to ensure compliance with permits, reports, orther regulatory obligations and project’s commitments to Federal, State, and local agencies
• Assist with preparation and deliver environmental training
• Coordinate and/or support special studies
• Escort/organize/summarize agency and other visits or inspections
• Participate in routine calls and meetings
• Serve as backup for field advisors and rotate to the field as needed
• Comply with Company Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies.
• Travel to North Slope occasionally for agency visits or compliance audits
• Serve as backup to rotational E&R Field Advisors for short periods of time as needed

Competency:
• Ability to work in a challenging work environment
• Ability to work with multi-discipline team
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental permits and regulatory requirements
• Fully conversant with the techniques for implementing and delivering environmental management programs
• Ability to influence both site teams and contractors to improve environmental performance
• Knowledge of internal and external incident reporting processes
• Familiar with Industry environmental practices & standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education Level: Bachelor of Science or equivalent
Degree Major: College level or equivalent (Applied science, equivalent or related industry qualifications).
5+ years of Oil and Gas project construction experience
5+ years of Environmental experience with a major oil company
5+ years Good working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Preferred: Experience in working on cold weather environment
