The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Reports To: Kenya EHS Operations Manager
Interact With: Internal: Report daily to Site Management EHS Team / External: Contractors
Supervises: Trainee EHS Advisors, as applicable

Job Purpose: To monitor and supervise the implementation of client's policies and procedures on all field operations sites for field related activities.
To provide advice, support and training in the development and implementation of operational safety plans and procedures in compliance with client EH&S MS. This includes a functional EHS authority/oversight over all activities in area of responsibilities.

Key Objectives/ Responsibilities:
• Support to implement the requirements of client EH&S MS in compliance with client EHS MS and client Safety Rules in field operations.
• Provide technical advice and support in relation to the development, implementation and monitoring of EH&S plans and procedures.
• Advise on issues of compliance to client EH&S policies and local regulatory EH&S requirements industrial best practices. Carries out monitoring, inspection, reporting and resolving audit issues.
• Implement risk management procedure in respective operations, monitor PTW, JSA and maintain risk registers.
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare corrective action plans.
• Active monitoring and periodic reporting on EHS activities and EHS performance indicators both for client and Contractor activities.
• Provide HS functional skills coaching to Trainee Field EH&S Advisors.
• Implement client Kenya EHS Operational assurance processes and inspections

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent

Skills:
• Proven experience of managing EHS in Exploration and Production operations with emphasis on field activity related to onshore EHS Management Systems
• Proven experience of managing EHS in remote Onshore drilling operations for at least 5 years
• Knowledge of Identification & Control measures of operational risks/hazards in E&P sites
• Can deliver basic EH&S trainings
• Computer literate
• Identification & Control measures of operational risks/hazards in EP sites – Lifting equipment, working at heights, plant isolation/PTW systems, Road/Air transport safety, Chemicals, PPE, ER systems/equipment, Fire Protection, Office safety procedures, Welding safety, etc
