The Company:
A high profile Engineering and Construction company specializing in the delivery of Integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Infrastructure Management services to oil and gas and mineral resources projects primarily in Australia and South East Asia, has requested Fircroft to source a Field Engineer E&I for a project within the high profile Queensland Coal Seam Gas sector.

The Role:
• High profile Coal Seam Gas sector
• Site based role (Surat Basin)
• 12 month contract

Reporting to the Lead E&I Project Engineer you will define, quantify and organise the Contract scope and specification for an assigned package of work, for implementation by the Construction Team.

You will provide technical support to the Construction team, particularly with regard to specifications for various instruments such as transmitters, control valves, relief valves, gas chromatographs, analysers, control systems, fire and gas systems. Additionally you will be responsible for both schedule and budget man hours for the package of work assigned.

Other key responsibilities will include:

• Develop a work breakdown structure to define and organise the scope across the instrumentation discipline;
• Ensure that the materials and equipment for the package of works are identified, quantified and meet contract specification and license codes;
• Collaborate with Project controls to ensure that the works and execution sequences are appropriately represented in the Project schedule;
• In conjunction with the Lead, manage scope change variations and ensure these changes are captured and or revised in the Work Packs;
• Actively participate in Project related programs, such as performance development/appraisal reviews; and
• Support HSE requirements & assist in leading the Quality Assurance obligations of the Project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates will be:
• Degree or Diploma qualified in a relevant discipline with field project execution experience
• Posses a working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, practices and regulations
• With a background typically from a Contractor, rather than Owner environment, however you will be sensitive to the needs of the client and service contract dynamics.
• Possess experience in industrial construction execution cabling/terminations and field project execution experience.
• Must have existing rights to work in Australia to be considered for this role.
