The Company:
Our client, one of the largest midstream operators in Canada, provides essential services for oil and gas producers and market related natural gas liquids throughout North America.

There are multiple positions available, in 3 different locations within Alberta: Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley, and Valleyview. The ideal candidate will already live, or be willing to live, in these towns or in surrounding areas.

**This position is open to permanent Canadian residents only**

The Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Monitor, optimize and troubleshoot plant, field, and pipeline operations
- Support facility operation and maintenance departments
- Provide technical support to business development
- Provide technical expertise to work order and management of change (MOC) processes
- Develop, justify and execute facility based projects, including: feasibility studies, economic evaluation, engineering design, tender/bid packages, project scheduling, cost control, HSE and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and maintain technical reference documentation and drawings
- Mentor junior engineers/technologists
- Active participation in plant and field planning, scheduling and budgeting processes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Engineering degree from accredited university and registered Professional Engineer in Alberta
- Minimum of 5 years chemical, mechanical and/or process engineering experience in implementing projects and providing operational support for gas and NGL processing facilities
- Creativity in developing and evaluating alternate solutions to realize business opportunities
- Experience in natural gas processing, including familiarity with Hysys modelling
- Familiarity with current acts and regulations (AER, ABSA, CSA, etc.)
- Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid certificates
- Valid Driver's License
