The Company:
Our client is a Norwegian multinational Oil and Gas company with headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. It is a fully integrated petroleum company with operations in thirty-six countries.

The Role:
Assignment description:
Gina Krog is originally a gas discovery made in 1974. In 2007 gas, condensate and oil were also found in the Ermintrude prospect, which is included in the development. Further appraisal wells were completed in 2011. Development involves a fixed platform for the full processing of oil that is exported by ship and for the export of rich gas and condensate to Sleipner and Kårstø. Expected to come on stream in Q1 of 2017.

- Ensure that Welding & NDE activities for all disciplines are planned, performed and documented in accordance with the project specifications.
- Ensure that main steel and outfitting steel scope related to construction is planned, performed and documented in accordance with the Contract Specifications.
- Follow up installation and certification of lifting equipment (excluding main crane).
- Follow up and ensure that all working environment requirements are fulfilled
- Follow up system for material traceability
- Provide discipline constructability input during detail engineering phase.
- Participate in monitoring activities and verification activities related to construction yard and project construction start readiness.
- Monitoring of Contractors welding and NDE activities within all disciplines with emphasis on quality, schedule and HSE
- Monitoring of Contractors fabrication activities within the main structural and outfitting steel discipline with emphasis on quality, schedule and HSE.
- Supervise welding inspectors in site team
- Ensure that Contractors personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
- Participate in audits / verifications as required.
- Monitor work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.
- Ensure that all required welding qualifications are performed.
- Review selected drawings and documents issued by EPCH Contractor
- Assist Contractor with discipline field engineering / construction details upon request or as required.
- Interface with piping / mechanical / HVAC discipline at EPC Contractor
- Ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved
- Ensure that fabrication documentation is issued by Contractor in accordance with requirements.
- Ensure that all required NDE and fabrication records are prepared.
- Ensure MC complete for handover to commissioning.
- Participate in area / system punch out as required and monitor MC status.

Rotation:
Possible 6-1-1 OR preferably stationary/long term (expat) assignment.

Workplace:
Onshore Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – from now till start of 2014.
Onshore Geoje, South Korea – from Q1 2014

Commuters accepted

Start Date: ASAP - End Date: 30.09.2015

Language requirements:
Fluent in English - written and spoken.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or similar within structure, materials or welding
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from offshore construction
- EWE Competence or similar
- Certified Welding Inspector according to NS 477.
- Fabrication yard construction discipline experience.
- Flexibility with regard to work responsibilities\tasks required.
