The Role:
• Contributes to the implementation of the Health and Safety Management System and Safety Management Plan (SMP).
• Delivers with minimal supervision, specific health and safety work tasks within Operations.
• Updates and improves consolidation of risk/performance data and outputs.
• Ensures relevant Operations personnel are informed of any changes to the Health and Safety Management System that will have a direct or indirect impact on Operations activities.
• Advises Supervisors and Superintendents about the health and safety of the site. This process shall include feedback through the reporting process.
• Conducts site inspections at the workplace to identify positive conditions as well as hazards and unsafe or unsatisfactory health and safety issues
• Reviews site documentation in consultation with other HSSE personnel to ensure applicability for field Operations.
• Completes regular checks on permits to work and carries out task observations to assess compliance with relevant control documentation (e.g. JSEA and PTW) and to identify any unsafe or unsatisfactory conditions or behaviours.
• Liaises on health and safety matters with Operations supervisory personnel.
• Delivers HSSE Inductions and other awareness training, as required.
• Investigates incidents in accordance with requirements.
• Assists Supervisors with the use of Synergi for the management of incident reports and closeout.
• Attends toolbox talks on a regular basis and ensures that they are being conducted in a professional and capable manner.
• Attends pre-start meetings on a regular basis and provides health and safety input.
• Advises and assists in controlling areas where critical tasks are being undertaken (e.g. pressure tests, heavy lifts, confined space entry, work at height, etc.).
• Able to undertake any other responsibility as directed by the direct and functional reporting management team.

The role is rotational on a 15 on 13 off basis
