The Role:
General Purpose / Mission
Ensure compliance in time and quality for the documental and operational HSE process as part of the Drilling team, the position will have assignation on the field attending the different requirements for drilling and construction activities.

Functions / Goals
1. Follow up and ensure the compliance of the HSE management documents related with the Drilling Project
2. Provide to Senior Drilling supervisor suitable HSE technical support, ensuring that Staff and contractors personnel are fulfilling all requirements establish in the different documents that are part of the HSE Plan (Emergency Response Plans, Bridging document, ESHIA)
3. Ensure timely and quality execution of HSE Project Activities; in order ensure the correct protection of people, environment and asset.
4. Maintain records and statistics of the different HSE issues for the drilling project.

During the drilling operations the HSE Advisor on drilling site will have the responsibility to perform the followings operational activities.
- Permit to work audits
- Hazard management audits
- Follow up at STOP program and different HSE recommendations.
- Safety inspections at critical HSE equipment’s (Fire /H2S/ Oil Spill equipment’s)
- Behavior Audits on drilling site
- Participate in the HSE inductions
- Coordinate the activities for Oil spill first response
- Verify the adequate implementation of controls established on MSDS
- Special follow up at operations that involve, hot works, confined space, lifting operations, excavations and working at height
- Continuous follow up and observation of Safety Driving practices in and outside of location.
- Follow up the different activities planned in the H2S Emergency Response Plan

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Formal Education: University Professional with engineering and experience in Health, Safety and Environment Protection
- Qualifications: With International certificates such as IOSH / NEBOSH / IEMA and OHSAS/ISO14001/ISO9001 Auditor
- Experience: At least 10 years in similar positions in Upstream , with experience in construction and drilling activities
- Languages Fluent in English / Arab / Kurdish desirable
- Technical Competences: Strong knowledge in HSE managements systems for drilling activities
- Skills and abilities: Strong orientation to results and service. Analytical skills, ability to interact at all levels.
