The Company:
The Field Material Coordinator manages movement and/or storage of material, prefab and free issue items to and from Fourchon, LA.
Purpose for this position:
Necessary to ensure tracking and availability of items needed offshore or returned from offshore according to schedule and handling requirements. There are many different groups providing material for offshore which must be coordinated into a management system usable by the single offshore construction organization.

The Role:
Leadership:
• The Field Material Coordinator is the SPA for all permanent (non-consumable) construction materials required for installation offshore or removal and disposition onshore.
• The Verification Lead shall demonstrate leadership by:
o Assuring all activities within the area of responsibility be planned and executed with no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment.
o Systematically managing activities to continuously reduce risk and deliver performance improvement.
o Complying with all applicable local laws and company policies and procedures.
o Consulting, listening and responding openly to our customers, employees, neighbours, public interest groups and those who work with us.
o Working with our partners, suppliers, competitors and regulators to raise the standards of our industry.
o Openly reporting performance, good and bad.
o Recognizing those who contribute to improved HSSE performance.
o Continuously improving the leadership, capability and capacity of the offshore organization.
• The verification Lead demonstrates commitment to GPO, production and drilling (GOO, GWO) activities within priorities agreed between the three groups and contained in the Thunder Horse Area Activity Plan.
Responsibilities:
• Establish a means for tracking all materials referenced by workpacks for offshore installation or removal utilizing existing processes wherever possible but with a consolidated view by offshore team leaders
• Act as a focal point for queries involving missing or incorrectly supplied materials offshore ensuring coverage during working hours 7 days per week.
• Oversee execution of procedures to ensure weights are measured by appropriate Client or regulatory personnel at the staging area and suitably documented for use by offshore construction or marine teams.
• Liaise with offshore material coordinators (GIS supplied) to ensure timely and accurate manifests for material
• Provide weekly reports on material tracking and availability including required on site (ROS) dates and estimated availability dates initiating processes to recover schedule slippages or other risks to timely delivery.
• Liaise with fabrication sites, Client procurement and key contractors on material delivery issues.
HSE:
• Make the HSSE goals and requirements known within the workforces and demonstrate strict adherence to safety standards
• Drive completion of SOCs, Easy Cards and other leading processes to reduce risk and increase safety performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of logistics management experience
Internal systems and procedures:
• Thorough knowledge of HSSE directives.
• General knowledge of Client’s document management system ’Documentum’ and the project systems, PMCS and SharePoint. Be able to find relevant procedures, documents and drawings.
• Use of tools from Mods Management or other sources in support of material tracking
Technical:
• Experience in managing shipping and fabrication contractors, verifying invoices, establishing plans and monitoring execution for safety, quality and efficiency
• General knowledge of piping, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation fabrication or supply
• Familiarity with business tools such as Primavera, MS Office, etc.
• Engineering, Technical Construction degree or equivalent from accredited university highly desirable but not required.
