A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to direct and provide technical and operations leadership to the Gas Development Group Operations Team, in setting up and implement an operations management system for the ongoing jurassic gas operations, whilst also overseeing the contractor operations in the sour gas-processing plant. The current facilities are in a poor integrity condition, experiencing frequent equipment/facilities trips and suffer a lack of robust operating and maintenance procedures.


To proactively advise and take the lead within the Northern Field based operations team in defining how best to manage and oversee the contractor plant operations and the existing well operations.
To work alongside the Operations team lead and the contractor Plant Manager and influence them assertively in all aspects of operating the sour gas plant and the existing producing wells.
To ensure compliance of the plants' operation to applicable safety and environmental standards.
To implement technical integrity upgrade work scopes based on the various company reviews carried out during the previous years: FAIR, DSR, SIL/IPF and others.
Define and manage the implementation of critical Operations Management systems, such as integrated activity planning, maintenance management, corrosion management, inspection management etc, based on company best practice.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree from an internationally recognised university.
Vast experience in EP facilities operations management or senior supervisory experience in several EP operating units.
Professional knowledge in Operations (Production and Maintenance) discipline, including AIPSM processes.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
International experience, preferably including Middle East exposure, with leading multicultural organizations is preferred.
Previous experience with HP/HT, sour gas, tight gas would be beneficial.
