The Company:
Our client is a leading independent oil and gas natural gas exploration and production company, focusing within the onshore oil and gas industry.

The Role:
FIELD PRODUCTION ENGINEER - BRIDGEPORT

The Production Engineer performs business planning, well performance monitoring, project management and opportunity exploitation associated with managing the performance and growth of assets for moderately complex production projects. Works under minimal supervision.

Duties:

•Operate and maintain onshore oil and gas leases and wells to produce the highest profitable volumes of oil and gas
•Monitor operating expenses to identify and control high cost areas to maintain lifting cost at the lowest possible level
•Aid in the preparation of annual volume and expense budgets
•Monitor well tests and production volumes to maintain and improve production and develop behind pipe reserves
•Ensure that field operations are being conducted in compliance with all applicable state/province and federal laws and regulations
•Interact daily with Production Foremen, pumpers, service companies, landowners and regulatory agency personnel
•Assist in the preparation of authorizations for expenditures and procedures for new well completions as well as remedial well work

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications

•Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred
•Practice safe work habits at all times
•Knowledge in state/province and federal regulatory laws and regulations
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems
•Able to work independently
•Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi disciplinary team
•Efficient time management and the ability to concurrently handle multiple projects
•Intermediate Level computer skills
•Able to travel as required
•Able to work extended hours
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering
•Requires minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in oil and gas production practices
