A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:
Please note this position is open to Iraqi nationals only.

The primary purpose of the role is to drive real time system production optimization of the entire Integrated Production System, by setting and achieving daily production targets.
The Field Production Programmer will play a critical role in the establishing of real time and short term surveillance protocols for Operations, including designing use cases for new software applications and technologies.
Primary interface between Operations and Asset WRFM.
Ensuring that all production related data is processed and delivered on time and accurately.
Good diagnostic skills are required to troubleshoot problems.
The position reports to the Production Programmer (Dubai) and is responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of all process facilities.

The principle accountabilities of the position will be:

•Production Well Testing – write well test procedures and instruction, execution, validation of data
•Working closely with Dubai Production Programmer
•Primary interface between Operations and WRFM
•Working in collaborative working environment
•Ensuring daily production related data is entered into energy components, is accurate and ready for approval by Field Manager before operations morning calls
•Pro-active production surveillance (wells, facility, export)
•Able to work effectively with key players from other disciplines
•Assist in determining daily production targets and achieving these daily
•Establish new ways of working
•Deferment coding and analysis
•Act as first line support for operations for all issues related to energy components, production data and Integrated Production System performance
•Establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication with tankfarm
•Supports start up of the hydrocarbon systems; achieve on target and on spec production.
•Production reporting (Field Ops/Production Daily Reports )
•Maintain up to date well bean up procedures and production priorities
•Execute front line production surveillance
•Well integrity monitoring
•Field Technology champions for deploying of new operations related technologies
•Participate in WRFM activities

Support OR&A organisation to deliver a world class asset.
Be sufficiently flexible to work outside the normal boundaries and to integrate quickly into the project.
Must be able to communicate at a technical level with various stakeholders
Production Technologists: well inflow performance and well integrity
Reservoir Engineers: production forecasts
SOC/Finance/Commercial department: reporting and forecasting of produced and export volumes
Operations & Maintenance: system performance and optimization opportunities
Metering: metering and mis-measurement issues
Travel to Dubai may be required
The ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds will be essential. The position will involve working with government or partner representatives.
There will be many adhoc, urgent requests to deal with. Successful candidates must be able to be very flexible in work planning
Ability to quickly determine the optimal production solution, with often conflicting or missing data or information

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be able to speak Arabic and English
Technical background, preferably in a petroleum related discipline
Graduate from a technical college
