The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
A vacancy exists for a home-based Field Service Engineer, responsible for the servicing, commissioning and calibration of analyser systems, Gas Chromatographs, CWA and AZTEC analysers throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

Duties:

Service engineers are required to visit client sites, usually alone, servicing and calibrating existing analysers, many of the clients being contracted for regular visits.
Repair of analysers returned to the repair facility.
Training of clients
Assisting in check-outs at Stonehouse and follow the system to site for pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A general knowledge of instrumentation and analysers is essential and previous work experience in an industrial instrumentation environment is beneficial. (i.e. Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Emissions, etc.) Due to the specialist nature of the analysers, a familiarity with specific analysers is not initially required as service engineers receive the appropriate training. A full driving licence is essential.
