The Company:
A leading independent developer and operator of flexible power generation in the UK, developing and acquiring flexible power generation.

The Role:
•As Field Service Engineer, you will report to into the Operations Function and ultimately be responsible for the monitoring, operation, and maintenance of a number of power generation engines.
•You will be integral to the performance of the Company’s portfolio of UK generation sites, and much will be expected of you.
•Reviewing the operation of the plant equipment and systems in order to minimise unplanned downtime. Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement.
•A key part of the role involves supporting the existing team in relation to easing new engines into the portfolio.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Will be highly skilled in fitting and repairing natural gas / diesel engines
•Able to demonstrate skills and experience in all operational aspects of monitoring, operations and maintenance of gas and diesel engines
•Solid understanding of engine control systems, use of access codes, engine stop/start procedures, fault finding/diagnostics and how the site ancillary systems work.
•Will have experience of field work operations which requires at time working on your own and on your own initiative - will be a competent multitasker
•Will be appropriately qualified in the recognised and related engineering skills
•Able to demonstrate up to date experience of ignition, diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, configuration and servicing of gas and diesel engines
•Computer knowledge
**Own vehicle and full driving licence required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•The ideal candidate would have a mechanical / technical background and up to 2 years relevant experience of large gas engines
•Possess a team orientated approach with good housekeeping skills
•The candidate would have sound problem analysis and problem solving skills
•The individual will be hardworking, unafraid to work unsociable hours, if need be, to get the job done right first time, and has an excellent track record of high performance.
