The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Our client, a world leader in power and automation technologies, have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to cover the North West region of the UK. This is a home based role, part of a 20 strong team, and it is essential that the successful candidate has water analyser experience, has an instrumentation background, and has previous Field Service experience.

The role will involve visits to customers’ sites in order to provide breakdown servicing, reactive and planned preventative maintenance, calibration contracts etc, on a wide variety of instrumentation products. You should be used to dealing with clients on a daily basis, capable of working off your own initiative and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the North West region, occasional overnight stays away from home may be required. Additional responsibilities include the promotion of service products and support offerings.

Key responsibilities include:
* Delivery of field based service offerings on customer’s premises.
* Develop and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction with service solutions.
* Development of service products and strategies for growing service work and championing service business growth through projects and technological advancements
* Responsible for maintaining and delivering high standards of Health & Safety and exceeding customers’ safe-working expectations.
* Reporting to the Manager for Measurement Products Service, UK & Ireland.
* Regular customer liaison and problem solving.
* Working as part of a service team to delivery on-site and workshop based repair, calibration and customer support services.


Key skills / experience:
* Preferably qualified to ONC/HNC level in instrumentation, measurement control or equivalent, or recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
* Experience with Continuous Water Analysers.
* Good PC skills essential
* Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* A flexible, and self motivated approach to work with good problem solving skills.
* Instrumentation experience having worked in one of the following industries - Water/Power Utilities, Food & Beverage, Chemical & Pharmacy, Oil & Gas.
* Full valid UK driving.


Remuneration:
Attractive base salary commensurate with experience. Standard 37 hour working week with paid overtime, benefits package, company vehicle and excellent career progression opportunities.
