The Company:
Our client is a leading petroleum company.

The Role:
Ensure accurate reporting to the Senior Management, Board and Client Group of the monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements and including variance analysis and commentaries as required such that they are fully informed.
2 Ensure the preparation of the year end reporting information within Group timescales, ensuring that annual audits are completed on time and that any recommendations are presented to senior management and agreed actions are fully implemented.
3 Develop & gain agreement to policies, plans and budgets, consistent with business strategy to identify process and control, best practice and cost improvements and implement as finance practice in line with business needs.
4 Manage & Co-ordinate all financial aspects of the business planning/forecasting process and reporting to meet business needs. Monitor and report on progress against plan throughout the year and feedback results to management to ensure cost budgets are achieved.
5 Ensure financial transactions are processed in a timely fashion, that ledgers are closed on time to ensure the integrity of the ledgers and that company accounts accurately reflect the true financial position.
6 Ensure awareness & compliance with the Group Financial Control Manual within the business as the source control document and structure of transactions and processes.
7 Oversee cash management to ensure that the cash reflects the needs of the business and is within agreed working parameters, maximising forfeiting where necessary; responsible for asset accounting, ensure the asset registers are accurate and oversee asset sale and lease back arrangements.
8 Responsible for the preparation and submission of all statutory returns on a timely basis including VAT, P11Ds, PSA, Corporation Tax, National Statistics etc. liaise with Client Group/ Authorities to ensure meets its statutory requirements.
9 Ensure sufficient finance resource is sourced, organised, deployed and managed; developed and motivate

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Minimum 5 - 10 years experience
Oil and Gas industry experience required
