The Role:
PURPOSE
This job specification details the requirements for the role of Finance Administrator, reporting directly to the Finance Manager / Accounts Manager. They will be part of a highly skilled, self-motivated department, whose primary objective is to ensure the company meets company, statutory and all other regulatory financial requirements to the specified standards.

PRIMARY ROLE OBJECTIVES
To act as a key member and contributor to the Department.
Responsible for the effective and accurate provision of a diverse range of Finance related administration duties, in order to support the team and company as a whole in achieving Finance goals and objectives.

MAJOR DUTIES
To work with all employees with budgetary responsibilities to ensure that they are all are aware of their Finance responsibilities and how to carry them out. To provide relevant and accurate financial and accounting advice and consultancy, including guidance and direction on company procedure, legislative compliance requirements and changes and amendments.
To accurately prepare the accounting ledgers for designated companies, including sales and purchase invoicing, bank accounts, cash management, VAT returns and month-end reporting.
Responsible for a diverse range of Finance administration duties.
Maintain an appreciation and up-to-date knowledge of company Financial systems, policies & initiatives as required, enabling the provision of cover for colleagues.
Provision of excellent customer service & positive promotion of the Department to internal & external customers & colleagues, in line with changing business needs and Finance strategies and requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good level of Maths & English
AAT - Level 2
