The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager this role primarily supports the financial reviews of the existing and potential vendors within the Vendor Due Diligence (VDD) process for Finance; the main business area of focus will be the Operations contracts.

The VDD goal, from a finance perspective, is to ensure vendors are adequately pre-qualified/qualified. They must be financially capable and be able to deliver on all obligations throughout the contract life.

Your specific accountabilities will be but not limited to;
• Ensure consistency with the existing VDD framework.
• Maintain the vendor profiles in the database being used for the VDD process/inputs;
• Understand the contract strategies and how they impact the business from a Finance standpoint;
• Perform assessments of vendor strength and risk profile (including profitability, liquidity and balance sheet strength ratios);
• Identify anti-bribery and corruption risks and relay findings to the Anti-Bribery Officer
• Monitor credit rating sites and information database for early detection of risks (such as loss of major clients/contracts, litigation, etc.);
• Understand key contracting needs and risks associated with tenderers and propose mitigation
• Provide support to other team members as required


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be successful for this position we are ideally looking for a professional who has completed an undergraduate business degree in a finance discipline.
We are looking for someone with experience as an analyst preferably in a contract environment and the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of contract and procurement principles.
