The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
* The Supplier Risk team is a joint Purchasing / Finance function, tasked with monitoring the financial and operational stability of suppliers to.
* This position is part of the Purchase Transformation Office. The team report to the Purchase Directors and Purchase Controller.
* The role of the risk analyst within purchasing is a high profile specialist purchasing role which requires stakeholder engagement at many levels within.
* The role is strategic and starts at the sourcing stage, to ensure risk management processes are embedded into a rapidly expanding Purchasing function.
* To continue to refresh and update supplier information ensuring the relevant details of new suppliers are correct.
* Assist with and ensure there is continuous improvement of the processes.
* Help seniors with reviews, to include liaison with cross functional teams (e.g. MP & L, Tooling, Warranty, Aftermarket, Capacity Trading division and Internationalisation.)
* Ensure actions requested by Supplier Risk Management ("SRM")/ Risk Evaluation Database ("REDs") are carried through over a clear time period. Attend monthly REDs meetings and assist seniors with preparation of reports and monitoring minutes/actions.

Skills Required:

•Support seniors with the preparation and updating of the training materials.
• In addition, provide assistance to seniors in respect of projects. -Support seniors at the monthly REDS meeting. -
* Provide support to seniors to help Buyers mitigate risk, attending monthly Management meetings and working with cross-functional teams to make clear and effective decisions to reduce risk.
•Work effectively with the Buyers to help support supplier visits. -Guide Buyers ensuring that the correct procedures are followed and that all parties are up to date with developments.
•Support seniors with ad-hoc project work. –
•Assist in the preparation and updating of the training material. In addition, provide support in the delivery of the training to Buyers. –
•Obtain credit ratings of suppliers through Risk Evaluation Database (REDS), including foreign suppliers. -Be responsible for continuous improvement and embed relationships across all functions

Experience Required:
•Strong financial analysis skills
•Good business partnering and communication skills, and the ability to present clearly and confidently to Senior Management and cross-functional groups
•Ability to work effectively and accurately with minimal supervision Continuous improvement mind-set Advanced Excel and good
•Access skills Accounting experience required

Experience Preferred:

Fluent language skills in Portuguese strongly desired Aware of insolvency process desired

Education Preferred:
Degree level
