The Role:
• Identify and implement enhancement to the Group's financial transactional and reporting systems
• Provide application expertise in order to run, support, maintain and further develop the Group's financial consolidation and reporting systems
• Participate in the development of group-wide information management systems to ensure compatibility between financial and non financial systems
• Provide system expertise to assist in the improvement of accounting and control processes to ensure group-wide best practice and optimum use of financial systems
• Manage and where appropriate lead financial systems implementations
• Deliver, monitor and improve training on the company's financial systems
• Deliver appropriate financial systems to deliver financial information to the business to support decision making
• Monitor and maintain the financial systems to support all management information, financial requirements and ensure regulatory compliance (eg. financial planning, transactions, budget and forecasting, tax etc.)
Qualifications and Education

General Education:
Must be degree qualified within a relevant subject
Specified Qualifications for position:
Completion of professional Accounting qualification would be desirable
Continuing Professional Development:


Technical (including IT):
Strong system skills
Competency in the use of Microsoft packages
Experience with Cartesis (development or run, support, improve experience) is preferrable however not essential
Knowledge of SAP would be desirable however not essential
Strong Communication Skills
Presents self in an appropriate manner to the role
Articulates views in a comprehensive manner
Produces work of presentable quality
Relationship builder with cultural sensitivity
Structured logical thinker
Geared to provide optimal support to the business users (service minded)
Self Management:
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Self motivating


Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in finance or accounting is essential
Preferred experience with BFC (usiness Objects Financial Consolidation) is preferred
Experience of Running, supporting, and improving financial consolidation systems within an international group is preferred
Experience with Cartesis (development or run, support, improve experience) is preferrable however not essential
Managerial Experience:
Knowledge of financial systems and requirements
Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting requirements, including compliance with internal controls, IFRS and local GAAP frameworks
