The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
This leading Oil & Gas company required a Financial Analyst to join on a 12 month contract based on Barrow Island. The role will be working on an even time roster and 11 hour days.

•Ensure that all site activities impacting financial data are managed and recorded in accordance with Project policy, regulatory standards and JOA governance;
•Development and execution of site procedures and tools for the financial management, tracking and recording of asset completions, transfers, disposals, verifications, operating spares, surplus materials, inventory, fuel usage and changes in usage/upgrade of Project Common Use Infrastructure;
•Project Assets site financial stewardship activities including verification of information via liaison with Project execution staff to ensure accurate recognition of constructed Assets in a timely fashion and ongoing maintenance and control of on island assets including implementation contractor procured assets;
•Project interface point in relation to assets and driver to ensure contract and PO close and transition to operational assets occurs in a consistent and timely fashion;
•Work with Project execution staff to facilitate the transfer of surplus Project materials and spares, identified as being required by Operations, including the transfer agreement, valuation and meta data required to record these in the Inventory system;
•Commissioning and SIMOPS activity monitoring and associated cost allocation determination and facilitation as required;
•Primary site contact for issues related to: Delegation of Authority (DOA); Assurance and payment verification; Cost Advice (coding, transfers etc); Logistics Allocation interface for all accounting related issues such as Fuel distribution, MMT coding, TABS data maintenance; Budget support; Travel and Expense processing (TEA);
•Ensure engagement and compliance with Client Way behaviours and the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and CA/CPA
•Minimum of 5 years as a Project Accountant in oil and gas or mining
- Proactive person who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines is required.
- Information systems ability required (Excel, Access, ERP, report development)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Site based experience preferred
