The Role:
JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (key tasks/services for which incumbent is responsible)

• All internal and external financial reporting
• All quarterly PSC and RSC reporting and audit
• Ensuring half year and annual external results are accurate, comply with IFRS and all group accounting policies adhered to
• Ensuring preparation of statutory accounts and all other statutory reporting is completed in accordance with Malaysian GAAP and corporate accounting policies and to the agreed timetables
• Ensuring appropriateness and maintenance of all General Ledgers for corporate entities
• Overall responsibility for accounting for depletion, depreciation, revenue, inventory and Current and Deferred Tax. Including interface with Shared Services team lead, Joint Venture Team Lead, Planning Team Lead and Head of Tax
• Responsible for ensuring all monthly Corporate (G&A summary, Margin and Financials), budgets, forecasts and ad hoc reports are accurate and prepared in accordance with agreed timetables
• Provide BD and M&A financial support
• Responsible for ensuring financial reporting control and accounting processes comply with Group policy and statutory legislation
• Develop and implement criteria and processes to simplify and streamline the process within the Financial Reporting Team
• Responsible for coordinating the external audit process and maintaining a positive working relationship with the audit management
• Financial reporting risk assessment and establish key financial controls schedule and control framework
• Manage the overall activity and development of the Financial Reporting Team

Experience
• Years of Experience - 15+ years
• Significant experience in a similar role or strong demonstrable Malaysian tax and PSC experience with an Oil & Gas operator
• Experience of and can demonstrate sound technical accounting knowledge
• Proven leadership capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS
• University Graduate with relevant degree
• Professionally Qualified (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
