The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experience Financial Project Controller/Financial Business Partner to support the Business Controller - specifically someone who has worked on £multi million tenders

Tender Stage
 Supports the tender manager by reviewing and advising on financial/commercial aspects
 Participates in contractual terms and conditions (clients, consortia, subcontractors, and suppliers), risk reviews, contract structuring and negotiations, tax issues, cash flow analysis, assignment conditions, etc.
 Ensures that quote calculation, cash-flow and exposure curve prepared properly.

Project Execution
 Prepares the Business Financial Execution Plan consistent with internal, contractual and regulatory objectives
 Optimize project cash flow and manage the currency risk, tax issues, financial reporting, accounting, and project financing requirements
 Promotes commercial awareness in the project team and provides commercial input to the project execution plan
 Responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for correct forecast for timing of cash flows
 Monitors the proper follow up on claims and back-charges
 Coordination and preparation of regular project reviews
 Identifies risks, initiates risk mitigation actions, prepares estimates to complete

Organization
 Supervises on a project basis, Project Accountants, Cost Engineers and Field Administrators - depending on the size of the project.
 Corporate governance, compliance, assurance and internal control. Enforcement of group charter and country specific finance directives and instructions
 Implements internal control processes to avoid misstatement in Financial Statements

 External: Customers, financial institutions (ECA's), external auditors, tax consultants
 Internal: Peers, Accounting and Reporting, Finance and Tax, Legal and Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Marketing & Sales

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Finance and business control expert with process orientation
 Detail-oriented team player with the ability to effectively adhere to strict deadlines
 Good communication and negotiation skills required
 Strong risk management skills
 Bachelor degree in finance or economics, or equivalent
 Working knowledge of finance and accounting software (SAP, ProMis, RR dB)
 3 years' work experience as certified project analyst recommended
 Completion of Project Controller required training modules
