The Role:
Experience gained in pipeline or subsea design engineering, consultants or installation contractors
Experience working from concept
Understanding of the fundamentals of Finite Element modelling theory
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Technical writing skills
Experience in non-linear finite element
Working knowledge of Abaqus
Fracture mechanics experience

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years minimum experience
First class engineering degree
Either a Specialist Masters PhD on numerical modelling preferred

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Abaqus
Programming in Python, Fortran and/or Visual Basic or others
Orcaflex/Flecom or similar
Mathcad
