The Role:
Ensure an immediate response at any time to all alarms that reach the fire station
During half the shift, lead the night shift EWRF Fire Station emergency response and fire fighting team.
During the other half of the shift, lead the day shift EWRF Fire Station emergency response and fire fighting team.
Overall in charge and responsible for the readiness and functioning of the EWRF Fire Station and all personnel and equipment therein.
During day shift duty in the EWRF Fire Station, support the OPF Fire & Rescue Supervisor with Plant related emergencies if so required.
Act as a replacement for the OPF Fire Station Fire & Rescue Supervisor, in case of absence due to illness, holidays or for other reasons.
Ensuring that all ER teams, including but not limited to the ER gas rescue and fire fighting teams, including all personnel, vehicles and equipment are in a continuous state of readiness, 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week, in order to respond to emergency situations.
At any incident scene, liaise with and report to the Person Responsible of the Area (PRA) of the area of the incident. Command the gas rescue and fire fighting teams, to successfully provide first response to an incident.
Manage the checking and cleaning of all response equipment. During shift, appoint tasks to gas rescue and fire fighting team shifts in both locations. Responsible for highlighting defect or missing equipment to the Fire & Rescue Superintendent
Carry out fire safety inspections as per Fire & Rescue Superintendent requirements.
Provide professional guidance to the fire fighting teams and effectively command them on a continuous basis.
Supervise and take overall responsibility of all staff located in the EWRF Fire Station, or attached to the EWRF Fire Station. Ensure all staff have clear tasks, roles and responsibilities and that they comply therewith. During night shift, implement the directions as given by the Fire & Rescue Superintendent
Responsible for cleanliness, personnel order and compliance with all rules in the fire station.
Responsible for maintaining the fire stations in a continuous state of readiness and cleanliness at all times.
Support the Fire and Rescue Training specialist in the execution of all training for the ER responder team, which may include class room training, drills, hands-on training, on-site based training, etc.
Follow up on the actions arising from ER drills and ER alarms, as noted by the ER Superintendent
Based on ER drill plans, prepare and conduct fire fighting emergency exercises, linking all other plant departments including contractors and accommodation camps. Identify and report lessons learned and implementation of corrective actions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
6-8 years of relevant experience, including Emergency Response and/or Fire Fighting
Operational Fire fighting experience (RoK Fire Fighting Certificate)
Possession of a medium level diploma, such as NEBOSH or equivalent. A BSc or MSc is of advantage
Experience in supervising the maintenance management system for fire systems and equipment
Knowledge of H2S in an operational environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Computer skills, minimum in Excel and Word
Competence in the preparation of technical documentation
Good communication and presentation skills. Some experience in training fire & rescue teams
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
English language – written and spoken including technical terminology
Working knowledge of Russian language
Complete RoK Safety Knowledge Assessment (Blue Book) within one month of taking post
