The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Lead the effective implementation of site Emergency Response Services Management system and provide direction to all Emergency Response shift technicians; ensure that all shifts are operating harmoniously and consistently within the Fire Protections & Emergency Response function.
1. Ensure that Emergency Response services work processes, standards and procedures are effectively implemented, maintained and applied across all shift teams.
2. Ensure that site emergency and crisis plans are understood by shift teams.
3. Ensure compliance with all government and company requirements related to Emergency Services operations.
4.Assist the leadership in ensuring the preparedness of all Emergency Response service teams and personnel through regular maintenance, testing and drills.
5. Provide leadership and coaching to Emergency Response personnel to facilitate personnel development and continuous improvement in performance and teamwork.
6. Provide emergency and crisis management coaching; Incident Management System training for all Emergency Response Technicians.
7. Assist department leaders in the performance evaluation of all ER Technicians.
8. Respond to emergencies; facilitate emergency and crisis as defined in site plants.
9. Serve as the team leader of quick response team in on-site or off-site distribution emergency incidents involving tank truck, railcar, or marine vessels.
10. Execute wise and proper coordination with concerned agencies and exercise proper judgment concerning emergency response, mitigation and remediation strategy.
11. Establish effective relationships with industrial park partners as well as key external stakeholders such as emergency management agencies and responders.
12. Develop capability for all emergency response areas such as fire fighting, HAZMAT Response, emergency medical response, high angle/confined space rescue, distribution, emergency response, dispatcher, etc. and act as quick response team for Sadara.
13. Maintain physical fitness to quickly respond to any emergency situation.
14. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
Managerial Duties:
1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by direct staff.
2. Ensure that all tasks and activities are performed in accordance with Sadara’s policies and procedures.
3. Assess the level of skills of employees and identify the need for development programs.
4. Motivate, coach, develop and support respective employees.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• High School diploma or training/certification equivalent is required.
• EMT certification.
• EMT-Basic and HAZMAT Technician certifications.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Plant Operations’ training and/or experience desired.
• Demonstrate the ability to think clearly and calmly under stress situations.
• Able to analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems within the Emergency Services’ area of responsibility.
• Candidate must possess computer skills and software knowledge.
