The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
• Design, development and testing of embedded applications and components.
• Maintenance of existing embedded applications.
• Work with hardware design engineers and Windows development engineers to develop integrated solutions.
• Assist our Applications team and customers with issues.
• Comply with the software development process.
• Strive to comply with all company policies and health and safety requirements
• Work effectively as an individual, but to hold the ability to work proficiently in a team
• To have the ability to meet deadlines, due to a record of good prioritising skills and active management of workload
• Use TFS to develop requirements & work tasks and track progress.
• Additional duties as required
• On-site work may be required, including international travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Embedded C
• Experience of real time programming
• Familiarity with servo drives / motion control / PLC
• Control experience / education
• Familiarity with RTOS environments specifically eCos
• Familiar with digital electronics, capable with oscilloscope and logic analyser
• Experience of Eclipse / SVN / TFS / Silverlight advantageous
• Experience of industrial fieldbus technology (CAN, RT Ethernet) advantageous
• Degree educated in relevant subject
