The Role:
Education: Higher level from university or technical institution.
Relevant Work experience – 1 to 5 years.
Skills and Knowledge
Language Ability: Intermdiate to Fluent in English
Has knowledge of principles and techniques of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
Has knowledge of principles and techniques of plant equipment design and construciton.
Has knowledge of principles and techniques of Risk Assessment.
Has knowledge of corrosion and damage mechanisms which affect fixed equipment.
Has knowledge of API and ASME codes.
Demonstrates solid oral and written communication skills in area of responsibility, and with customers, stakeholders, and first and second line management.
Recognized by cross-functional peers for technical expertise in one of more fields, and as an active contributor to team efforts.
Jon Responsibilites
Responsible for conducting visual inspections on vessels, tanks and process piping.
Monitors and reports the technical condition and safe operation of all vessels, tanks and process piping by evaluation of design, process conditions and inspection data.
Evaluates equipment integrity and corrosion trends for indications of equipment degradation and potential failures Recommends remedial actions and develops future inspection strategies and plans.
Ability to determine and evaluate corrosion mechanisms and solve problems related to equipment reliability.
Participates in Hazop’s for his designated Units.
Initiates routine procedures and becomes proactive on non-routine procedures.
Recognized by cross-functional peers for technical expertise, and as an active contributor to team efforts.
Participates in OE (Operational Excellence) processes and recommend process improvements.
Responsible for the Implementation of TCO Program, TCO Inspection strategies, Chevron best practices and procedures.
Participates in shutdown planning teams – Identifies inspection opportunities and identifies shutdown inspection workscope.
Recommends on equipment repair and quality control plans.
Maintains accurate, detailed and quantitative event record keeping both Electronic and physical
Monitors all plant modifications and repair work for Quality and specification compliance. Participates in PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) for all equipment in designated Unit.
