The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company.

The Role:
•The FMEA Engineer is responsible for liaising all aspects of commissioning for the sub-sea construction (SCV) vessel equipment and system FMECA’s/FMEA’s on behalf of Company, between the owner, shipyard and vessel operator.
•The overall objective is to over-see the FMECA/FMEA documents/proving trails procedures and verify schedule allowances for proving trials/tests
•To assist the Project Manager in final acceptance from the builder and hand-over to the operator.

Duties will include:
•Maintaining awareness of, and promote, project goals in respect of HS&E, QA, schedule and technical integrity, including participation in regular audit activities
•Ensuring that shipyard QHSE standards are maintained, monitored and make suggestions for improvement in accordance with Company expectations
•Implementation and monitoring of the shipbuilding contract, monitoring and reporting of any deviations that may risk the project delivery in respect of FMECA/FMEA requirements
•Ensuring that the shipyard project execution plan is implemented and monitored and make suggestions for improvement, including regular reviews to ensure suitability were applicable
•Ensuring FMEA testing is carried-out fully and accurately recorded and signed-off by all parties, including Class, Flag State and any other bodies as maybe required.
•Monitoring and reporting whether FMEA tests/proving trials & inspections are carried out properly and according to Class/Company/Contract standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Active Management in FMECA/FMEA testing/proving trails vessel new builds/upgrades/conversions
•10+ years DP and offshore vessel build/upgrade commissioning and relevant operational experience.
•Preferred marine electrical background with diploma/STCW certification
•Conducting annual FMEA trials to IMCA and Class (DNV preferred)
