The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
To analyse demand history, forecasts and forecast accuracy on all parts required by, and for, Aftersales in order to meet availability and inventory targets.
Use forecasting system to provide recommended order quantities to ensure availability, inventory and stock turns are within agreed targets.

The Forecasting Analyst works closely with all members of the Aftersales Supply Team, Aftersales Commercial Team and Aftersales Publications.

1. Maintaining forecast accuracy
a. Amend parameters at part number or supplier level where required
b. Amend forecasting types at part number level where required
c. Monitor performance and amend parameters and forecasting types as necessary

2. Transferring files to update SCOPE
a. Transfer Daily/Weekly/Monthly files as necessary.
b. Ensure appropriate backup of order files for relevant warehouses

3. Generating order recommendations
a. Run forecast system daily for relevant warehouses
b. Review recommendations, on-line, and amend if necessary
c. Analyse “problem” parts and amend forecast where required

4. Set-up new products on SCOPE
a. Agree parameters for new parts ensuring compliance with Stocking Policy
b. Set up parameters as required
c. Monitor issues to ensure parameters are appropriate

5. Analysis and reporting
a. Use relevant systems for data analysis
b. Simulations as required.
c. Create Business Objects reports as required
d. Review Popims receipts, investigate Sap-Popims variances and amend Popims costs as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of database systems and data manipulation
• Popims
• Sap
• WinScope or similar forecasting system
• Business Objects
• Excel
• Access or similar database system
