The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project

The Role:
Resident in (South Korea) at EPC Contractor’s office during detailed engineering and at FPSO construction and integration yard thereafter, with missions to manufacturers’ premises and other geographical sites as required.

Position is likely to switch to rotation in the last 6 months of the Onshore phase.
Offshore rotational position in Angola (from FPSO arrival date at Angolan integration yard) and possibly during Tow.

The Mechanical / HVAC Commissioning Lead services shall lead the supervision of the Contractor in all activities related to Commissioning of Mechanical systems of the FPSO (including HVAC), promoting HSE awareness and behaviour throughout the activities.
He will first be responsible for reviewing and validating all FPSO Contractor documents during the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Preparation Phase, including ICAPS database filling. For HVAC systems, he will be assisted by the HVAC Commissioning Leader.

He/she shall then manage a team of two mechanical supervisors during the Commissioning Execution Phase (Onshore / Offshore).
- Especially in: Hook-up/commissioning and also HSE, Engineering, Construction (and Production)
- Especially in: Contractors Management and also Project scheduling and Budget/cost control

To follow-up the preparation for the Hull and Topsides Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning, ensuring that Company requirements and the OPERCOM methodology are followed.
To provide assistance to the FPSO Contractor during the detailed preparation of the Commissioning, including a review of planning and organizational requirements, so as to optimize the schedule by maximizing the Onshore Commissioning and keeping Offshore Commissioning activities to a minimum.
To review, comment the preparation of Mechanical Commissioning procedures, including ICAPS Pre-Commissioning status index and Commissioning database, the handover dossiers / certification, punch list control, planning and deliverables.
To follow-up the requisitions for material, equipment, consumables and spare parts of the Mechanical systems.
To review the Commissioning Dossiers and in particular the Operational Test Procedures relative to the Mechanical scope of work.

EXECUTION PHASE
To promote / ensure safety within the commissioning activities and verify that safety procedures and permit to work system are implemented by the FPSO Contractor Commissioning Team (especially during the offshore phase)
To witness and monitor the pre-commissioning activities performed by the FPSO Contractor, ensuring that the Mechanical systems have reached the RFC status with the associated punch list.
To witness the execution of Commissioning (including FATs at manufacturers’ premises) to achieve maximum productivity, minimize cost and achieve smooth hand over. To validate the results of the operational tests.
To follow-up mechanical tools, consumables and spare parts.
To ensure Mechanical documentation is As-Built (including mark-ups).
To validate technical change or modification for Mechanical systems
To ensure that adequate care and maintenance/preservation of equipment are being carried out.
To supervise the reporting of Commissioning Execution for Mechanical systems to ensure that all technical, contractual and cost information is properly recorded, collected and available for inspection / reference as required by law regulations and Company policies.
To liaise with the different Systems / Area Engineers, ICAPS and Punch List coordinators.
To follow-up / report discipline progress and punch list clearance.
To supervise the schedule of Commissioning of Mechanical systems in order to reach the planned end date.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years of experience in mechanical systems commissioning, maintenance and engineering in the oil & gas industry.
Good knowledge of OPERCOM/ICAPS and experience on FPSO are a plus.
Fluency in English (written and spoken), computer literacy, proven skills for co-ordination and interface management / communication / work organization
