The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Location: Singapore (Primary) and other Project Locations - 6/2 Rotation or Residential

The FPSO Process Engineer will be responsible for the delivery and assurance of the process engineering / design across the full project scope and to verify that these requirements are carried throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases of the Project. The position will act as the Project's technical authority for FPSO Process Engineering and related issues.

Key duties will include:-
• Act as Project process engineering technical authority for all related aspects of the client's FPSO Project. Although the main focus will be on the topsides facilities design, the role will be responsible for any FPSO marine systems that interface with the topsides.
• Provide assurance of an integrated and consistent process and systems design across FPSO Facilities.
• Monitor and assess the process engineering activities undertaken by Contractors and Suppliers. Review and consider all relevant technical documents.
• Prepare Design Competition Contractor technical assessment and recommendation for award within Process/Systems areas of expertise.
• Participate in process engineering design assurance activities such as HAZID/ENVID/HAZOP. Endorse closure of all associated actions.
• Identify and participate in key activities to assess and mitigate technical risk e.g. audits, reviews etc.
• Work with the other members of the Project Management Team and our client's support functions to ensure effective interfacing between all facets of the development.
• Liaise and utilise corporate engineering support where appropriate
• Provide input to all the client's technical documents e.g. Scope of Work, Basis of Design and Functional Design Specification.
• Provide technical responses to relevant Contractor Technical Queries and Requests for Information.
• Provide technical support to reviews by external stakeholders.
• Assess subcontractor/vendor technical competence
• Ensure full life-cycle technical integrity issues are considered throughout the project i.e. design, procurement/manufacture, construction, installation, commissioning and planned operation & maintenance
• Support the development of performance standards and written schemes of verification for safety critical equipment
• Support development of Project strategies for Execute phase of the project
• Proactively manage the project risks and all mitigation measures within area of control

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer (CEng IChemE) or equivalent
• Extensive experience in the execution of major capital projects with specific focus on Offshore and/or FPSO projects.
• Experience of working with engineering contractors in a Client role
• Experience of process design of gas conditioning and compression systems
• Experience of process design on floating production systems
• Detailed knowledge and application of regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards relating to process engineering in the offshore oil and gas industry
• Strong personal commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental Performance
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team of client and contractor personnel.
• Ability to work proactively with minimum day to day supervision
