The Role:
The VI Consultant will be accountable for the expert counsel he/she will give to project teams on both method and substance around front end decisions, deliverables and activities. This counsel is usually delivered through hands-on peer assistance, designed and delivered by the consultant. This will include but not be limited to:

a) X-Functional Integration

b) Applying decision based planning across all functions (Technical, Commercial, HSSE-SP, etc.) - to remove waste & recycle (drive toward ESSA Eliminate, Simplify, Standardize & Automate)

c) Effective application of the Opportunity Realization Manual & Opportunity Realization Requirements through appropriate application of the ORP toolkit (Opportunity Framing, Concept Identification, Concept
Selection, Decision Quality, Risk management), Hydrocarbon Development Planning & DCAF.

d) Early assessment of business environment (including non-technical risks), definition of solution space and commencement of active risk management

e) Driving clear stakeholder & governance communication (improved DRB effectiveness)

f) Driving delivery of TQ projects

g) Fit for purpose PCAP’s (practical and consistent application of DCAF)

h) Effective venture setup planning and implementation of the plan. Venture readiness assessments.

i) Streamlined appraisal & development concept assessment (simplification, standardization)

j) Directing the practical application of skills, capabilities, tools, processes, and practices to maximize the value creation on associated work in FES EMEA

The VI consultant will be accountable for functional products and activities including community build, best practice exchange, writing/maintenance of standards and guidelines, the introduction of new tools and applications (e.g. HDP Tool Suite), mentoring of development planners and providing support to Client Project Academy (SPA) and Commercial Academy on training.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree
Extensive Operating Experience ( min 10 years)
Surface and Subsurface Technical Professional
Technical expertise for New Business Development, Global Appraisal Portfolio & Upstream International
Fluent in written and spoken English
