The Role:
The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for all customer and visitor facing activities and the highest level of front of house service provision.

Responsibilities & Tasks
Reception area
• Working with our customer to agree front-of-house processes and standards for the new facility
• Ensuring performance of reception services meets customer’s requirements
• Line management and motivation of reception teams
• Managing staff resourcing levels
• Setting the standards for tidiness, safety and efficiency of service
• Enforcing the company dress code for all reception staff
• Periodically patrol the reception and surrounding common areas looking for HSE issues, spillages, areas requiring a tidy up and alert relevant Facilities Team to resolve any issues

• Meet and greet visitors
• Assist visitors with signing in to the building using either kiosks or visitor books as appropriate.
• Provide hospitality to visitors waiting in reception in term of tea, coffee, water etc.
• Assist visitors with directions within the building, visitor parking etc.
• Manage the luggage store ensuring suitcases are stored securely and safely
• Support the customer’s health and safety policy by ensuring visitors are made aware of required HSE information
• Communicating with customer’s staff with respect to the presence of visitors
• Provide a taxi ordering service

Other Duties
• Assist with meeting room catering orders
• Issuing of temporary security passes to staff who have forgotten theirs
• Ensuring good flow through the public areas encouraging staff to keep the reception area open
• Providing support for large parties of visitors attending functions in the meeting room complex

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• All reception staff need to be warm, friendly, approachable people
• Must be well groomed at all times and adhere to the reception dress code
• Of a proactive problem solving nature
• Solid communication skills; listens effectively and communicates ideas clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner
• Personable, motivated, self-starter, requires minimum supervision or encouragement and motivates others
• Confident with the ability to make assertive decisions and give clear advice
• Thorough and accurate in providing information
• Flexible, able to handle a continuous change and with the ability to prioritise
• Solution orientated
• Influencing and persuading skills
• Good time management
• Willing to work overtime when necessary

The successful candidate will have relevant demonstrable experience working on a corporate or hotel reception desk in a senior position and good knowledge of facilities management
