The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The successful candidate will have responsibility for carrying out functional and system safety analyses on Jaguar and Land Rover Controlled Suspension Systems. The candidate will perform functional safety lifecycle activities in compliance with ISO26262 and have responsibility for the Functional Safety Deliverables associated with the Controlled Suspension Systems deployed by SST. The role will include using model based techniques to carryout desktop assessments of the SST systems and then critiquing the results to identify hazards and system conditions that may require vehicle tests. Where necessary the candidate will work with other JLR teams and external suppliers to gather information to allow any Functional Safety analysis to be carried out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS
1. Application of Functional Safety (ISO26262) within the Automotive Industry.
2. Vehicle Dynamics knowledge.
3. Basic electrical & electronics knowledge

Degree educated or proven experience (preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Systems engineering Vehicle modelling packages like CarMaker. Failure Mode Avoidance Requirements cascade Report writing
