Our client is a leading global Oil and Gas operating company.

The Role:
Role synopsis
The primary role of the Functional Scheduler is to ensure that the North Slope Inspection & Execution Teams functional schedule is of high quality, fully populated and integrated and is deliverable within functional constraints.
The Functional Scheduler will be responsible for integrating the function’s schedules across all North Slope Inspection & Execution programs and service contractors and for developing and maintaining the quality and integrity of North Slope Inspection & Execution scheduling processes.

Key accountabilities:
- Responsible for driving the implementation of the standard scheduling processes & systems across the Inspection & Execution Functional programs and interfacing with multiple service contractors.
- Build and manage detailed schedule plans in Primavera (including Inspection & Execution’s various programs and integrating proposed service contractor schedules, CMMS activities and individual project plans), to support the delivery of the work owned by the Inspection & Execution Team.
- Ensuring that the Function’s CAP (Constrained Activity Plan) activities meet the required gate readiness criteria.
- Identify functional activities that are at risk for delivery and highlight potential schedule slippage and propose actions to recover.
- Recommend whether a schedule waiver is needed, and support Inspection & Execution Planners and Activity Planning Functional Planner in preparation and management of schedule waivers.
- Monitor scheduling KPI’s for performance and identify lessons learned to improve execution efficiency and propose improvement actions.
- Document, communicate and assist with resolving any changes/conflicts to the Function’s schedules and identify and drive resolution of cross-functional conflicts.
- Serve as primary point of contact for Site Scheduler to address issues relating to planning, scheduling and tools and to communicate the agreed schedule to all functions and Areas, ensuring activities are progressing as scheduled.
- Identify and drive resolution of cross functional conflicts and manage the inclusion of approved emergent work into the Functional schedule.
- Support Inspection & Execution Team at Functional scheduling meetings through schedule preparation and pre-read management, and manage follow up actions.
- Ensure that all Functional scheduling processes are consistent with Activity Planning requirements.
- Attend and participate in multiple weekly meetings, assisting as needed to support internal programs i.e. external, internal, tanks & vessels, pigging, and chemicals.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Essential experience and job requirements
- Experience in the use of Primavera or other similar planning/scheduling tools.
- Strong background and knowledge in scheduling and planning activities within the Oil and Gas Industry (2 years experience minimum).
- Solid understanding of the work management processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiation skills– This role will require a substantial amount of coaching and influencing of both Functional and scheduling team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization and work closely with cross-functional teams and success in developing new working relationships.

Other essential skills and knowledge - Team player, organized, good communications and planning skills and ability to set clear direction.
- Knowledge of E&P functions and activity drivers.
- A strong sense of self-motivation

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- A related Bachelors Degree and/or experience
- Advanced understanding of work management processes (CMMS)
- Project management experience
- Understanding of the technical content of chemicals, pigging, inspections, and corrosion work and logistics of work implementation
- Track record of identifying, recognizing, and implementing "Best Practices"
- Understanding of HSE policies and procedures, ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
