The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Project Focal Point - Furnished Quality Engineer. This individual would serve as a Focal Point for the engineering, construction and commissioning phases through project completion. This lead role ensures that the fabricated components and engineered equipment are constructed in accordance with all applicable internal and external data, drawings, specifications, regulatory codes, and quality assurance requirements to meet customer needs in a cost-effective manner
Primary goals are to:
•Interface with the entire Project Team to facilitate Furnished Equipment work processes
•Participate in project planning and execution including forecast and cost control for major equipment packages and pre-fabricated modules as well as monitoring and maintaining schedule and cost milestones.
•Responsible for timely and efficient communication with internal partners, customers and vendors, in order to coordinate an efficient project execution for the different packages.
•Coordinate review and approval of welding procedures
•Responsible for distribution of Customer Owner Furnished Equipment (COFE) and Master Equipment List (MEL) data reports and monitoring/communication status to engineering teams on a weekly basis.
•Lead role in obtaining key project information from engineering for input into COFE data base and support expediting data into COFE data base
•Support the engineering teams to identify Furnished Equipment relationship to primary package (s) and Shipping destinations. (Parent/Child reports)
•Validate data base for correctness against the PDMS model
•Support Furnished Equipment status meeting with each engineering discipline leads and report
•Report delivery problems of vendor drawings/equipment on a weekly basic to project lead and Furnished Equipment lead
•Generate Furnished Equipment/COFE scorecards for project deliverables and vendors
•Participate in constructability reviews, Contractor/Vendor pre qualifications, and attend pre award meetings.
•Capture lessons learned for equipment fabrication and Furnished Equipment processes.
•Create and maintain interface action items and issues lists.
•Liaise with project leads and contractors to remediate quality management problems.
•Provide delivery / coordination of company provided equipment and packages

Delivery includes cost / schedule / transportation / documentation control / inspector coordination / interface management between the company and the vendors.
•Support the quality delivery of engineered and manufactured equipment per the specified requirements (DEPs, DEMs, Project Standards / Guides, local requirements) for the project.
•Develop short and long term strategy and execute the plan to achieve project targets
•Ensures learning’s are considered for incorporating into standards and procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of related experience of construction management, front-end planning, and experience in modules and engineered equipment fabrication.. Excellent teamwork, leadership and strong project management skills enhanced with strong interpersonal and customer focused proficiencies. Previous experience leading the delivery of the fabricated equipment and experience with management of vendors in a global environment.
