The Role:
Develop and maintain short term production, maintenance and gas marketing forecasts/plans, monitoring external influences such as weather, demand and market, liaising with asset personnel to ensure alignment with expectations and Business Plan.
Implement short term delivery plan ensuring nominations are placed by relevant deadlines, monitoring capacity requirement versus availability and liaising with external customers, agents and terminal operators.
Collate and analyse market and price data (including Unit Buyer price indexation data) and organise/distribute appropriate management reporting.
Input data to relevant commercial data base systems, data validation, and compilation and distribution of relevant daily and monthly reports to the departments, partners, gas buyers and government agencies.
Contribute to the preparation of financial and economic reports and monitoring, and to strategic and business planning, in relevant areas.
Maintain and routinely review procedures for Gas Control business processes in respect of the efficient handling of gas nominations, capacity management and the optimisation of overall product revenues, to ensure consistency of approach within the Gas Control team and compliance with company policy and contract requirements.
Maintain appropriate knowledge of Lifting Agreements, Gas Sales Agreements, Terminal Agreements, as well as of National Grid Network Code and Gas Shipper issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of the gas market and transportation
Understands external customer needs
Understand requirements of internal customers and other service providers
Understands the processes by which all players in the supply chain interact to meet customer needs.
Comfortable with numerical data and spreadsheet literate
Grasp of materiality and optimisation opportunities
Handles multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
